Can we add the images of each province and state to the list?

[edit]

There all right there so why dont we (not me i do nothing) add it? It'll keep it cohesive with literally every other list for countries, e.g soviet republics, british overseas territories, us states etc 2.97.9.246 (talk) 04:34, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There are no "states" in Canada, and Wikipedia is primarily text-based, so that many images would be over-clutter. —Joeyconnick (talk) 05:21, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
but you do it on other articles? 2.97.9.246 (talk) 05:40, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
WTfrick are you actually asking? This is effectively a list article. List of states and territories of the United States is the American equivalent. Zero photos there. This has 13 photos (all of the legislature buildings). Each province and territory is vast. There is no such photo for any that encapsulates the complexity of what each is. There are hundreds if not thousands of photos that are eligible but good luck achieving consensus on what is the single most appropriate Ontario photo to include on this page. If you want photos, go to the actual articles for each of the provinces/territories. Hwy43 (talk) 05:56, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
but ontario has a flag no? Ive just come from the beautiful Soviet republic page where they have it all lined up and wondered why its not the same thats all 2.97.9.246 (talk) 06:00, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
So what is this about, just flags? Then go to the Ontario article. Note MOS:FLAG. Inclusion of flags can therefore be controversial. If you want others to consider what you are proposing based on what you are seeing elsewhere, actually show us these other articles. Hwy43 (talk) 06:12, 27 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
